LeBron James Speaks On 76ers' Unsustainable Center Role, Rebounding Woes In Loss vs. Pistons
LeBron James gets real on his unsustainable performance filling in for Joel Embiid at center tonight and the 76ers' rebounding issues surfacing against the Pistons. LeBron James and the Philadelphia 76ers suffered their first loss of the season against the Detroit Pistons, with Joel Embiid out and VJ Edgecombe benched. As a result, Dean Wade and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope were replaced in the starting lineup, with James playing the center role for the first time in his 76ers career. He finished with 18 points, five assists, two rebounds, and two steals, shooting 8-for-15 from the field (53.3% FG). After the game, James reflected on his decision to play the center, stating that it was not sustainable for him as he could play one-through-five defensively and offensively. He also mentioned the need to improve their rebounding efficiency.
