Detroit Forecast: 70s return with fog, rain chances
A warm front will push temperatures into the 70s Wednesday and Thursday across Southeast Michigan. Southeastern Michigan can expect unseasonably warm conditions and morning fog, as a weather system moves through the region, with high temperatures expected to reach 70 degrees. The next chance of light rain is expected Thursday afternoon and evening, but by Friday, dry conditions and mild temperatures will return. High temperatures are expected as high pressure over the Ontario-Quebec border moves eastward, while a weather System from the central Plains approaches the Great Lakes. Morning fog is expected around Ann Arbor and metro Detroit due to moisture from Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair. Rain showers are expected Thursday, but moisture levels will limit rainfall amounts to trace amounts up to several hundredths of an inch where showers occur.
