The Detroit Pistons and Washington Wizards meet Friday in NBA action at the Capital One Arena. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best bets for this game. Here’s a Pistons vs Wizards prediction.

The Detroit Pistons have been in a major slump as they've lost 12 of their last 15 games overall and they will be hoping to put a halt to an eight-game slide after getting thrashed by the Timberwolves in a 106-91 road loss on Wednesday. Cade Cunningham led the team with 32 points on 11 of 23 shooting, Malachi Flynn added 14 points on six of nine shooting while Jalen Duren chipped n with 11 points, 11 rebounds and four assists. As a team, the Pistons shot 38 percent from the field and nine of 32 from the 3-point line as they played solid defense to hang with the Timberwolves in the first half, but they couldn't maintain that effort and got blown away by 59-46 in the second half. Marcus Sasser had a rough game as he shot just two of 11 from the field for his seven points while Evan Fournier shot zero of six from the field to finish scoreless.

Meanwhile, the Washington Wizards have been have sprung to life with three wins in a row before they got stopped in their tracks by the Nets in a 122-119 overtime loss on Wednesday. Jordan Poole led the team with 38 points, seven rebounds and eight assists, Kyle Kuzma added 24 points with 10 assists, Marvin Bagley scored 18 points off the bench while Deni Advija chipped in with 17 points and 12 rebounds. As a team, the Wizards shot 50 percent from the field and 14 of 34 from the 3-point line as they played solid defense at the end of the fourth quarter to keep the scores tied at the end of the fourth quarter, only to come up short in overtime where they managed just seven points to allow the Nets off the hook in the end.

• Jordan Poole ranks 6th in the Eastern Conference amongst qualified players for FT% (87.1%) this season.

• Kyle Kuzma ranks 10th in the Eastern Conference amongst qualified players for points per game (22.4) this season.

• Jalen Duren ranks 1st in the Eastern Conference amongst qualified players for rebounds per game (11.9) this season.

• The Wizards rank 30th in the league for opponent points per game this season (123.4).

• The Wizards rank 30th in the league for opponent rebounds per game this season (48.8).

• The Pistons rank 30th in the league for steals per game this season (6.2).

• The Pistons rank 30th in the league for opponent steals per game this season (8.9). The Pistons are still missing Isaiah Stewart and Ausar Thompson, while Cade Cunningham and Jaden Ivey are both questionable. The Wizards are still missing a bunch of players including Tyus Jones, Landry Shamet and Isaiah Livers. The Pistons have continued their downward spiral towards the next NBA lottery, while the Wizards came to life with a trio of wins before losing a close one to the Nets on Wednesday. You couldn't back either side with any confidence these days, but you have to give some credit to the Wizards, who have looked like a different team over their past four games. I'm going with the Wizards in this spot.
