Latin hip-hop, British heavy rock, erotic poetry and comedy are all on deck around town this weekend, April 5-7. The weekend activities include a variety of events in Metro Detroit, including the Fillmore Detroit where comedian Ari Shaffir will perform as part of his “Wrong Side of History Tour. The Erotic Poetry and Music Festival at the Loving Touch returns for its 35th anniversary show, featuring performances from Jody Bauman, burlesque from Lushes LaMoan, spoken word from the Impaler, and more. The festival will also honor activists who have recently died, including poet John Sinclair. The King of Latin Trap, rapper Bad Bunny, will perform on his "Most Wanted" tour at LCA. A day-long event will celebrate small businesses and local artists with handcrafted goods, food, home goods, gifts and more, marking the 10th year for the event.

Billed as their final North American tour ever, pioneering all-female British hard rock group Girlschool will play Westland this weekend. In July, the foursome released their first album in eight years “WTFortyfive?," a reference to the 45th anniversary of their formation in London, England.
